In this project, the client’s basic concept was to have a koi pond in the rear yard of the residence. It has simple functional layouts of a water pond. The pond has access to the sitting space integrated into the middle of the pond. Moreover, the client created an 18” water width between the sides edge of the pond and the patios, steps, etc., rather than the 12” water width between the steps and between the patios at each end because of a couple of reasons. First reason was to give the fish a bit more clearance along those long side runs. And the second reason was to make it more challenging for the dogs, cats, and humans to access the patios from the side, rather than from the ends.
